University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is evaluating a psychological exercise for coping with chronic pain and are looking for volunteers to test the brief approach.
What will the study involve?
An initial 10-minute phone call, after which you will complete some questionnaires about your pain. Then, you will be randomly assigned to either one of the two groups, and a meeting time will be arranged to teach you the psychological exercise over a video conference call. You will be asked to practice this approach over a two-week period, followed by completing online questionnaires. You will then be asked to attend a second video conference call to review your progress after two weeks and also to complete online questionnaires. You will be asked to complete questionnaires again after 1 month to review your progress.
Where?
You can participate from the convenience of your own home, as the study is administered online.
Who can be involved?
Anyone over 18 with chronic pain (more than 3 months) residing in Australia.
