OVERVIEW
Successful completion of this applied course enables participants to become skilled in the integration of mindfulness training with cognitive and behavioural therapies, summarised into the four-stage model of MiCBT. Course participants will be able to offer this service to clients in most mental health settings, public and private, while being supervised by the trainer.
The aim of this course is to provide participants with a sound understanding of Mindfulness-integrated Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (MiCBT) principles and the necessary skills to implement them confidently in their clinical work with individual clients and groups in various client populations and across a range of diagnoses.
This course will involve learning material through various modalities, including small master-class type sections with PowerPoint slides and other visually presented material, role-play simulating current client attitudes and therapist responses, and general discussions on perceived difficulties.
This course can provide credits for Module 2 of the Vocational Graduate Diploma in MiCBT.
